The low-fenced ranch delivers the best of both topographical worlds. A flat valley floor is surrounded on three sides by sloping hills that rise from 200 feet to 400 feet in a configuration reminiscent of a college football stadium. The open field supports native grass while the hillsides are anchored by live oaks, elms and cedars. The field can be accessed by truck while the hills are best navigated by ATV. There are two wet-weather creeks as well as a small wet-weather pond.

Prairie Canyon Ranch, which is managed to maintain wildlife valuation, is home to native whitetails, feral hogs, wild turkeys, dove, javelina and the occasional mountain lion. The area is also full of free-ranging exotics including Aoudad sheep and sika deer.

Management activities include food plots, water development and a grain and protein feeding program. Hunting has been limited and private.

The two bedroom/ one bathroom cabin, which was recently updated, features a durable stained concrete floor, a new air conditioning and heating system, high-speed internet and covered parking. The water infrastructure, which is supplied by a well, has been updated over the past two years and the electric pump, pressure tank and the 2,500-gallon storage tank were all recently replaced.
